Saint Francis was hungry for another win in the 2024 “U Can Crush Hunger” food drive competition. The university won seven of the past nine years but came in second last year and wanted to reclaim the title. The collective effort of local colleges is designed to make a meaningful impact where it’s needed most. Saint Francis crushed the competition by collecting the equivalent of 22,359 pounds in donations and food. Finishing behind Saint Francis were Purdue Fort Wayne, Indiana Tech, Trine, Ivy Tech, Indiana University Fort Wayne, Manchester and Huntington.
Proceeds donated through Saint Francis during the competition benefit our St. Joseph Food Pantry and Kitchen, as well as Community Harvest Food Bank’s Community Food Wagon program.
