Dr. Robert “Rob” Phillips joined the Saint Francis leadership team as Vice President for Academic Affairs/Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business. The search committee was impressed by his collegial attitude, deep personal faith and strong commitment to the Saint Francis mission and the Catholic liberal arts tradition. The broader campus community, as well as the strong support of former colleagues at previous institutions where he has fulfilled very similar roles, reinforced these strengths. The Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration also indicated their support for Dr. Phillips for the same reasons.

Dr. Phillips previously served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Davis & Elkins College, where he oversaw faculty and promoted their teaching, research and service, and managed the academic, accreditation, strategic and fiscal planning for the college, among other duties.
