Christopher Amick
Bio
Christopher Amick earned his Associate of Science in Chemical Methods and Bachelor of Science in Biology, in 2005 from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Biology with a Graduate Certificate in Emerging Infectious Disease in 2017 from the University of Saint Joseph. During his collegiate coursework, Christopher served as a Surgical Technician in the United States Army Reserves. Prior to coming to the University of Saint Francis, Christopher worked for 18 years as a Surgical Neurophysiologist/Clinical Manager where he obtained his Certification in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM).
As a Surgical Neurophysiologist, Christopher monitored at-risk neural structures during a variety of Orthopedic, Neuro, Vascular, and ENT surgeries. He also taught Anatomy and Physiology courses at Ivy Tech Community College in an adjunct role. Christopher is excited to shift from the clinical side of healthcare to the academic side and looks forward to supplementing the curriculum with his health care experience. He will be teaching undergraduate science courses for healthcare students in the Department of Medical Science.
