FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The University of Saint Francis Theology Department welcomes Providence College’s Dr. James Keating to the annual University of Saint Francis Alverno Lecture.

Keating’s presentation, “Is the Catholic University Really Dead?” will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 10 in Room 226 of the Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center at Saint Francis, 2701 Spring Street. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Keating received his doctorate in Theology from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He is an associate professor of Theology and the director of the Humanities Program at Providence College in Rhode Island. He is a frequent contributor to First Things, and he publishes on a wide variety of topics, including the place of dystopian literature in teaching the Catholic Intellectual Tradition.
