FORT WAYNE, Ind.—University of Saint Francis Athletics announces Dr. Brendon Moody as the new director of track and field/cross country.
Moody joined Saint Francis as the men’s and women’s cross country coach last year. He succeeds Kyle Allison, who recently became the athletic director at Marian University’s Ancilla College.
“We are thrilled to promote Coach Moody into this role,” Saint Francis Athletic Director Mike McCaffrey said. “He has built a very strong rapport with our student-athletes and alumni, while continuing to guide our distance runners to amazing heights. We are entering an important and strategic phase for our track and field and cross country programs, and I look forward to working with Coach Moody to provide the best possible opportunities for our student-athletes at USF.”
Moody came to Saint Francis last year after serving as recruiting coordinator and long-distance coach at Tiffin University. He is an alumnus of Heidelberg University, where he excelled in steeplechase and distance running and obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He earned a doctorate in education from the University of Findlay.
“I would like to thank Mike McCaffrey, Vice President for Catholic Culture and Student Life Sr. Maria Gemma Salyer and the entire search committee for the opportunity,” Moody said. “I look to continue to build on what Coach Kyle Allison laid the foundation for, and I have high expectations of where this program can grow to be.”
