USF students’ short films among features at Hobnobben Film Festival

Two teams of Animation students at the University of Saint Francis will have their short films included this week in the Hobnobben Film Festival at the Fort Wayne Cinema Center. The festival runs Thursday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 16.

The students produced their work for ART 337 Animation Studio Experience. One of the films was produced in spring 2021 and the other in spring 2022. The course simulates a studio where students come up with the initial idea, concepts, storyboards, animatic, music and final edit within 15 weeks.

“It’s intense, but they do a great job,” Assistant Professor of Animation Jacob Nolt said.
