Dr. Robert A. Pastoor, USF Vice President for Student Affairs, sent a letter to students, faculty and staff on Tuesday, detailing some changes in building availability on campus due to COVID-19 precautions:
Dear students, faculty and staff,
In order to continue to protect the health and safety of all, the University has decided, effective Wednesday, March 25, that the following buildings will be closed to all students:
- USF Downtown (all facilities)
- Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communications Center
- Doermer Family Center for Health Science Education
- Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center
- Residence halls
- Hutzell Athletic Center
- USF Crown Point
The following buildings will remain during normal working hours 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted:
- The first two floors of the Pope John Paul II Center will remain open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. room 110 for computer and printing availability and the Hideout for internet access only.
- Brookside
- North Campus and Welcome Center
- Trinity Hall
- St. Francis Chapel
The Registrar’s Office, Lee and Jim Vann Library and Academic and Career Development Center (ACDC) will be offering services virtually (by email, telephone or Teams) rather than face-to-face. ACDC has provided students with a collection of resources for accessing these at https://usfmail.sharepoint.com/Pages/Academic/Tutoring-and-Study-Help.aspx.
While faculty are encouraged to work from home when possible, they may still access their offices as needed.
Thank you for your cooperation and Be Safe!
Dr. Robert A. Pastoor
Vice President for Student Affairs
