FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis welcomes guest speaker Dr. Nicholas Denysenko on Tuesday, February 20, at 7 p.m. in the Historic Woman’s Club, located at 826 Ewing Street on the third floor of the USF Business Center. Dr. Denysenko’s presentation, “Confirmation: A Sacrament Out of Time and Place?” is part of the USF Philosophy and Theology Lecture Series.
Parents, pastors, catechists, teachers and even bishops struggle in the Roman Catholic Church over when and why kids should be confirmed. The definition of Confirmation is also often misunderstood. Dr. Denysenko will offer practical, pastoral suggestions to some of these issues drawn from Eastern Orthodox experience.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Copies of Dr. Denysenko’s book will be available for sale after the lecture. For additional information, contact Angie Springer,
