University of Saint Francis Strategic Plan

In Summer 2024, the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, founders of the University of Saint Francis, provided the university with a renewed mission statement that reaffirms our commitment to our work.

Mission Statement

The University of Saint Francis offers formation of the whole person by providing an encounter with the heart and mind of Jesus Christ so that God, who is Love, may be loved. Through our Catholic identity, Franciscan charism, and liberal arts tradition, we prepare students for personal and professional lives of virtue, service, and joy.

Strategic Plan

Inspired by the new mission statement, the University of Saint Francis developed a forward-looking strategic plan: Renew 2028. This new strategic plan emphasizes:

• articulating our Catholic identity and Franciscan charism 
• delivering excellence and relevance in the classroom
• creating a campus environment that more deeply shapes the lives of our students 
• strengthening our ability to deliver a University of Saint Francis education by modeling operational excellence, and 
• generating new and deepening existing relationships with our alumni, donors and community to support both our work and their passions.
