Laura McCall
Bio
As a PA Educator, I focus on active learning instruction. I represent the program on the Fort Wayne Area Interprofessional Education Consortium. I practice clinically in Urgent Care. Previously, I served as Clinical Coordinator. I participate in women’s and children’s ministries in my church community.
I am awed by the intricate human body which displays the care, wisdom and power of God and find satisfaction in helping PA students and patients understand how to protect and preserve the gift of life.
Discovery is inspirational and motivational. The more one learns, the more one realizes how much more there is to learn! Since this can be overwhelming, it is important to provide practical application of newly acquired knowledge as soon as possible. This helps students see purpose and progress and aids in knowledge retention.
I teach as I view life- with optimism! I try to gauge a student’s capacity to learn and encourage them to aim just a little bit further. With the attitude that students can succeed, even tough material can be mastered.
