The Saint Francis Alumni Association Cabinet partnered with Stop Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) once again to donate Easter baskets for children in need. This project offers the opportunity for alumni to connect with each other and the students, and to perform the service necessary for this important community project to succeed. For the past few months, the Alumni Association collected containers, coloring books, sidewalk chalk, candy, stuffed animals and other toys. The Student Government Association helped organize the items and assemble the baskets.
“I am very thankful to everyone who donated items for this project which supports an important resource in our community,” Director of Alumni Relations Tony Didier (BA ’00) said. “The process puts our Franciscan values into action and brings Easter joy to those making and receiving the baskets.”
The university delivered the finished baskets to SCAN on March 25. Saint Francis has been donating Easter baskets for this meaningful project for many years. SCAN uses this opportunity to help local families celebrate in a special way.
