05.01.14 USF business students earn globally high simulation score
University of Saint Francis (USF) business students Tate Dishman, Eric Jaszarowski and Dzenana Sakinovic recently completed the Business Strategy Game by McGraw-Hill/Irwin Inc. with the highest score globally, along with 43 other teams. Almost 6,000 teams from 323 colleges and universities participated in the simulation exercise during spring semester. Betty Stein, Fort Wayne News-Sentinel columnist, lifelong educator and advocate for women, children and minorities, will receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from her alma mater, the University of Saint Francis, during commencement exercises Saturday, May 3 at 2 p.m. at the Memorial Coliseum of Fort Wayne. 04.28.14 Standing Against Racism
USF hosted Stand Against Racism with the YWCA for the third consecutive year on April 25, with a new wrinkle—for the first time, USF students invited the community, reached out to area leaders for support and organized the entire event in Hutzell Athletic Center. Funding for the student-led rally against racial prejudice and intolerance was procured through a grant for service learning from Campus Compact, an organization dedicated to campus-based civic engagement. University of Saint Francis (USF) graduate student Ruth Smith will communicate a powerful, positive vision for disabled people in Indiana as Ms. Wheelchair Indiana 2014. Smith, a 34-year-old Fort Wayne resident, was crowned Ms. Wheelchair Indiana at the Basile Opera Center, Indianapolis in March as part of Disability Awareness Month. Read more...
