Maternal child nursing instructor joins USF Crown Point
Sept. 26, 2011 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Jeannette Zelhart has joined the University of Saint Francis Crown Point as a maternal child nursing instructor.
A USF Crown Point Registered Nurse graduate and student in the university’s Master of Science in Nursing—Family Nurse Practitioner degree program, Zelhart taught as an adjunct professor on the USF Crown Point maternal child faculty before accepting the full-time position.
“Jeannette brings 20 years of nursing experience in maternity, pediatrics and medical surgical to our faculty,” said Nursing Program Director Margaret Stoffregan-DeYoung. “She will also serve as Student Nurses Association faculty representative, a voluntary assignment for which she is well suited, due to her enthusiasm for teaching the science and art of nursing.”
“I was an LPN for over 20 years and received my RN degree here at USF,” Zelhart said. “I am excited to join the USF faculty as a full-time instructor.”
