Transfer Graduate Credit

If you’re interested in transferring credit to USF for past graduate work, please contact your graduate counselor. Up to 15 outside credit hours can be applied to your University of Saint Francis master’s degree.

To be eligible for credit at the University of Saint Francis, your credits must meet the following criteria:

  • Final course grade must be a “B” or better
  • Credit must have been earned in the past five years

Approval of all transfer credit is the prerogative of the department chair/program director and the Director of the Graduate School. Additionally, you may be requested to present catalog descriptions for the graduate course you’d like to transfer.

Ordinarily, workshop courses and courses taught regularly at the University of Saint Francis may not be taken at another institution after you are enrolled in a degree program at the university. Once admitted to the University of Saint Francis, you must obtain approval from the Director of the Graduate School prior to registering for coursework elsewhere. Only grades of “B” or better will be accepted for transfer.
