He has been granted faculties by Bishop Kevin Rhoades to serve both Byzantine and Roman liturgical rites in the diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend.
After a two year, post seminary diaconate, he was ordained to the priesthood in 2000, and served as an Eastern Orthodox parish rector for nine years. He further brings with him over fifteen years of training and experience as an Army National Guard chaplain (two on active duty, with time spent in Afghanistan), part time VA chaplaincy work, and intensive clinical hospital chaplain training at Lutheran Hospital here in Fort Wayne.
He holds a BA in communication and theater, with psychology minor, from Concordia University, River Forest, IL, an M.Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary here in Fort Wayne (with M.Th. coursework completed at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in Crestwood, NY), and even an Associate’s from the Physical Therapist Assistant program of our own School of Health Sciences here at USF.
