American Mathematics Competition For High School Students
USF is Hosting a Math Competition for High School Students
The University of Saint Francis is hosting the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) 10/12 for high school students on Tuesday, Feb. 5 in the Doermer Health Building. Student in the 8th grade through senior in high school may apply.
We will start the evening at 6:00pm with registration of the applicants. Food and refreshments will be offered in Doermer rooms 156A/B. The AMC 10/12 is a 75 minutes multiple-choice contest that will follow refreshments.
An optional two-hour preparatory session will be offered in the Doermer Health Building room 063 on Wednesday, January 30 at 6:00 pm. For additional practice materials, go to amc.maa.org. To register for the competition, contact Carolyn Exner at email@example.com or 260-399-8067.
Academically qualified students who participate in the competition and apply to one of the University of Saint Francis math programs directly out of hight schoool may be eligible for up to $9,000 in scholarships.
