Dani (Vonderau) Kiefer's Biography

Dani Kiefer

Dani received her bachelor’s of art in graphic design and photography from the University of Saint Francis in 1999. She moved to Chicago and began designing exhibits and marketing materials for the Field Museum of Natural History. She moved into the position of senior graphic designer at the Chicago Botanic Garden, where she collaborated with the Chicago Park District and Garfield Park Conservatory to design a city-wide sculpture exhibit and an exhibit with the United States Botanic Garden in Washington D.C., entitled "Plants in Print." After accepting a position at the Lincoln Park Zoo, Dani became the in-house graphic designer for the Pritzker Family Children's Zoo, where her brand design was awarded first place by the American Association of Museums. When her first daughter was born in 2006, Dani opened her own graphic design business. She moved back to Fort Wayne in 2008 with her husband, Alex, and daughter, Amelia. In 2010, another daughter, Becca, joined the family. Dani continues to work as a freelance graphic designer and photographer for a variety of non-profits and educational businesses, while raising her daughters.
