USF Application Guidelines
As a Franciscan institution, we believe education should be available to everybody. All interested students are encouraged to apply.
Our university observes five Franciscan values, emphasizing peace, justice, service and respect for the environment and the unique dignity of each person. That includes the belief that each person should have access to education. If you have students who are willing to dedicate themselves to the rigors of earning a degree, we are willing to teach them. Students who decided late in their high school career to pursue a degree are encouraged to apply. We have an academic support system for those who are a little shy of our criteria for automatic admission. If you have students who wish to study at the University of Saint Francis but do not meet the automatic admission standard, please direct them to submit an essay with their application.
High school students wishing to be automatically admitted to the university must meet the criteria listed below.
- Earn a 2.3 GPA on a 4 point scale.
- Earn a combined SAT score of 1000+ on the reading and math sections or earn an ACT composite score of 21+
- Students interested in academic programs in the medical sciences must complete one year each of high school chemistry, biology and algebra.
We require our first-time students to submit an SAT or ACT score. Our school codes:
ACT: 1238 SAT: 1693
Encourage your students to fill out their FAFSA before the March 10 deadline.
USF Code: 001832
