Jacob Nolt

Assistant Professor, Animation

Bio

I enjoy teaching skills to bring student ideas and stories to life through 3D modeling, animation, and game development. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a scaffolded course structure to gain professional artistic skills for industry employment. The field is technical and always changing. Students are encouraged to explore and problem solve to better prepare for their futures. Since 2010, I have practiced as a professional in the indie game development, animation, and application development spaces, including for Fortune 500 companies. I continue to practice as a 3D artist outside of the classroom both as a professional and a fine artist.
