FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The University of Saint Francis invites the public to share in the holiday spirit with Christmas at USF from Dec. 1 to 12.
USF will celebrate the beauty and joy of the Christmas season with a variety of events:
University Choir Christmas Concert
Wednesday, Dec. 1, 7 p.m.
St. Francis Chapel
The free Christmas concert will feature traditional holiday favorites.
Breakfast with St. Nicholas
Saturday, Dec. 4, 10 a.m. to noon
USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center Ballroom
USF invites parents to bring their children for a breakfast with St. Nicholas. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children, ages 2-12. Tickets are available at usfstnicholas2021.eventbrite.com.
Lighting of the Lake & Living Nativity
Sunday, Dec. 5, 6 p.m.
Mirror Lake, patio outside St. Francis Chapel
The Lighting of the Lake features the blessing of luminaries dedicated to people who are special to those at USF. These vigil lights encircle Mirror Lake. The evening starts with a petting zoo at 5:30 p.m., then the Lighting of the Lake and Living Nativity. Cookies and cocoa will be served afterward at Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center. Those who wish to honor a loved one or send a wish of hope may purchase a luminary in advance.
Brookside Tours
Friday, Dec. 10, 4 to 6 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 11, noon to 5 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 12, noon to 5 p.m.
These docent-led Brookside Mansion tours will guide visitors as they enjoy the featured créches for Christmas. Tours require reservations and USF requests a freewill offering. To reserve a spot, visit go.sf.edu/creches.
