SOCA slates summer, fall exhibitions

The School of Creative Arts has some superb exhibitions coming to its galleries in the summer and fall.

From July 11-Aug. 5, the Three Rivers Invitational Exhibition will bring together a variety of works by local and regional award-winning artists. A range of media and disciplines will be explored. An opening reception will be July 9 from 7-9 p.m.

From Sept. 10-Oct. 23, 2011 "Presidential Gala: Bruno Surdo, Figurative Paintings" will bring a collection by an award-winning artist who has exhibited nationally and internationally. Surdo has studied figurative drawing and painting in the United States and in Europe. He is founder and head instructor for the School of Representational Art in Chicago, established in 1992. Surdo is represented by the Ann Nathan Gallery, Chicago. An opening reception will be held Sept. 10 from 6-9 p.m.
