SOCA Presents Steel Magnolias

This spring, USF’s School of Creative Arts presents Steel Magnolias, a heartwarming play about female strength and fragility. Based on Robert Harling’s story of a group of women who meet weekly at a Chinquapin, La. salon, the play follows these hilarious characters as they interact with one another as only true friends can. Whether kidding or cajoling, gossiping or fighting, laughing, crying or comforting, the women are always real – and together they face the joys and challenges life brings. Directed by Brad Beauchamp, the play is scheduled for six performances:

  • Friday, March 23, 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 24, 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 25, 2 p.m.
  • Friday, March 30, 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 31, 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 1, 2 p.m.
